For those seeking more intense thrills, the region's single trails are ideal for downhill enthusiasts.
A different kind of gym
The Active Mile between Lermoos and Ehrwald offers you an easy way to stay active while enjoying the great outdoors. The calisthenics facility can be reached from Ehrwald, Lermoos and Biberwier by bike or foot. 18 stations with exercises such as climbing, balancing, push-ups, slalom jumping and many more, the trail promises challenging and active hours.

Fun Sports
What do monster scooters, alpine rollers and mountain carts have in common?
They’re guaranteed to give you a brilliant time on your summer holiday in the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena. You’ll hurtle downhill on dedicated tracks using these fun sports vehicles – and thanks to their extra-large tyres, you can even tackle uneven ground.
Another thrilling opportunity to experience the area's spectacular landscape is the Flying Fox in Bichlbach, which might even give you goosebumps.
Summer Tobogganing
Full speed ahead! Even the sight of the summer toboggan run in Biberwier is guaranteed to get your adrenaline pumping. Surrounded by the stunning landscape on the Tyrolean side of the Zugspitze, you’ll race down almost 200 metres of elevation. The summer toboggan run is 1,300 metres long and features 40 turns as well as a tunnel for an extra thrill. The adventure starts at the middle station of the Marienberg cable car, located at 1,180 metres above sea level, and finishes at the valley station. The toboggans are transported up the mountain by chairlift.

We are pleased to announce that the Tyrolean side of the Zugspitze is an excellent destination for running enthusiasts. Whether you prefer to be active in the fresh summer air, with or without poles, on designated paths or cross-country, this area offers a variety of options for different types of runners. There are also numerous options for trail running fans.
Escape-Trails
Adventure seekers and riddle fans can enjoy an exciting hiking highlight in the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena - the Escape Trails.
This outdoor escape adventure in Berwang is much more than a traditional escape room. Instead of being locked indoors, you'll explore a spectacular natural landscape while solving mysterious clues and challenging riddles along the way.
One team, one route, breathtaking scenery, and a series of cryptic messages - can you solve the riddle and complete the Escape Trail?
Digital Adventure Trails
Ehrwald, Lermoos, Biberwier, Bichlbach, Heiterwang and Berwang each offer a digital tour with its own theme and lovingly illustrated main character.
The six interactive routes are each around four to five kilometres long, with a walking time of one to two hours. Along the way, they are packed with informative audio guides, videos, mini-games and puzzles. Once all the stations have been mastered, a badge is uploaded to your digital collection pass. These badges can be shown at the local tourist offices and each completed trail is rewarded with a free children's tattoo.
Cable Cars & Lifts
The Tiroler Zugspitz Arena offers impressive mountain views, wherever you may look – and with the cable cars and lifts, they’re quick and easy to reach.
Many mountain railroads lead up into the beautiful alpine setting around the Zugspitze: the Tiroler Zugspitzbahn, the Ehrwalder Almbahn, the Grubigsteinbahn in Lermoos, the Marienbergbahn in Biberwier, and the Bergbahnen Berwang take you up to higher altitudes.
3D archery course
Take a deep breath and focus on the target: Archery requires full concentration. And at the 3D archery course in the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena, you have a total of 28 targets to aim at.
Instead of ordinary target boards, you'll be aiming at three-dimensional animal figures placed at varying distances. It's the ideal experience for anyone eager to put their archery skills to the test.
Golf
Full concentration, your eyes on the little white ball, taking a deep breath – and then: Tee off! If you’re looking for a special sporting experience, you’ll find it at the 9-hole golf course in the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena. Enjoy a round of golf while taking in the breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding Alpine landscape.
Indoor tennis court
Sports enthusiasts who want to enjoy a game of tennis even on rainy days will find an excellent all-weather alternative at the indoor tennis courts in Ehrwald. Tennis rackets and shoes are available for rent. The facility features two indoor courts with a carpet-granulate surface that is gentle on the joints, ensuring a comfortable playing experience.

No good weather? No problem! The climbing hall in Ehrwald gets climber's hearts racing, even on rainy days. Covering around 1.300 square meters in the middle of the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena, it is an Eldorado for climbing enthusiasts - whether you are an experienced climber or just starting your journey into the world of climbing.
With a wide range of modern climbing equipment, you can improve your technique and build your skills. The on-site climbing shop offers equipment and accessories for both hire and purchase, ensuring you have everything you need for your climbing experience.
